1) I was born into a Christian family…

2) I attended a Christian school…

3) I grew up in a Christian church…

With these three simple facts, it’s easy to label me the “average” Christian.  Yet, none of these things ever truly made me a Christian.  I was surrounded in a Christian influence where God was an overall theme, but it wasn’t until I was exposed to a different environment that God finally became real to me.  Switching to a public high school popped the Christian bubble I lived in right away.  Life was different than I knew it to be, and many things that I became accustomed to changed very quickly.  Luckily, through all of it, I was able to discover the one constant that remained, God.  He had been there my whole life, and with that knowledge, I decided to commit my life to Him.

With each phase of my life, I’ve encountered additional changes and, along with it, additional struggles, but I’ve found that trusting in God has always guided me through.  He’s become more and more real with each day, and when I look back at my own life, I can now see how everything has happened for a reason.  They have not been coincidences, but have been according to His plan – from being born into a Christian family to being raised in a Christian environment.  I will continue to dedicate my life to Him, knowing fully well, that He will remain faithful throughout my entire life.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
