Hey everyone it was another exciting night as all games ended too close
for comfort. Some stats may not be as accurate as we like since the
numbers on the back of the shirts are black and the shirts are dark.
What can we say, we will get this numbers thing right next year. At
least they are staying on or we will see after you wash them.
Game 1
Gray 32 vs Green 26
This game will start similarly to last week's recap of the 1st game.
Bad shooting 0-9 on one captain and one more captain injured so 4 more
to go. The bad news is... its the same captain. Colman we are praying
for a safe comeback. PG and E held it together mostly to the hustle of
Matt Hedges aka Mr Boston(VH1's I love New York - its not actually him
but they can make a case for being related.) Boston made some key
steals
and grabbed some important rebounds. Baller Neil didnt score as much
this game but still provided some good rebounding especially on the
offensive end.
The Long Lean Green Team lacked some offensive output as it seems like
everyone was not willing to shoot as the opposing team launched 8 more
shots and got to the line more often. JC continued to be a monster on
the boards with 9 rebs. John Kwok entering the game may have disturbed
the teams chemistry as they are not used to a shot blocker who goes
after people who are shorter than 5'7".
We also enjoyed the time out in the second half because the Gray team
only had 4 players on the court since someone forgot to go in.
Game 2
Team Red 47 Team Blue 46
Time outs, fouls to give, turnovers, lay up vs 3 pointer, so many
possible executions errors at the end but the bottom line was the Red
team won and the Blue team is stronger and more cohesive than before.
We also would like to note that ... we stopped Jon Yee's block per game
streak at ONE. Prediction: Brian will be the next injured captain.
Game 3
Black 35 vs White 33
Without their captain Jeff, Team White looked lost at times but Adam
Moscosco filled in the stats and came up with some timely threes.
Darryl Greene had his Britney Spears haircut this week and may have
lost
some of his powers as he couldn't get his offensive game going. He
still contributed 13 boards but that wasn't enough to stop Paolo from
attempting a basket at the wrong end of the court.
Team Black was capitalizing on multiple offensive boards especially by
Anthony Pineda who single handedly won the game at the end by grabbing
a
offensive board and putting it back up for an AND ONE!!! He also handed
in 16 points. In spite of the win, Oz continues to look like the M-B-P
of the league. Most Blockable Player
The Refs did an amazing job of seeing everything as usual and no foul
calls were missed but many calls were challenged... just like a typical
NBA game. More importantly, it was good to see the refs practicing
their
half court shots as they need to improve on that skill since they have
perfected the art of the referee. One referee, whom I will not name to
protect his reputation as a Pastor, accused me of talking trash when I
was only encouraging my opponent to try and stop me.
Stay tuned for next weeks games and recaps and remember... you are in
B's house!!!!
