Brian Chew's HOUSE
This years 2007 Friendship League sponsored by Cornerstone Evangelical
Baptist Church is guaranteed to provide much fun and laughter as each
team takes center court. Be prepared for a lot of shooting, turnovers,
FTs, rebs, assists, 3 pointers, stls, and blks as we keep track of them
on this website. Lets see what we are up against shall we?
1. Team Blue
This is definitely the favored team to win it all as Brian Chew's
surgically repaired achille's, lung, kidney, elbow, vertebrae,
sternocleidomastoid, and pride are intact and ready to go. He is
joined
by the Chinese Dwight Howard, Alan Lin aka "the Manchild" and Sheman "S
Factor" Low who will blur you with his speed. Many of my assists will
be
found when Kenton Wong spots up for his 15 foot automatic silencer and
we have a couple other weapons of choice that you will see during this
season.
2. Team Red
Anchored by Greg Wong, this team will probably run and gun a lot as
Greg
secures the rebound he often goes coast to coast. You can be sure Jeff
will take off to fill in the lane and on a rare occasion Greg may pass
to him but we shall watch closely as Greg may get an assist this year.
Jon Yee is the Chinese version of Michael Redd without the height,
rebs,
stls, assists, or 3 pointers. You all know what's left. Blocks????
3. Team Green
Team Green has been together for many years with the core of Jon
"Mutombo" Kwok, JC, Chris Wong, and Sherman Lee. The hustle of JC and
the intensity of Sherman have definitely made this team fun to watch.
Chris is coming back from a torn knee but with rehab and his 5'11'
frame
along with his 6'1' wingspan this team may be the dark horse. This year
they have some add'l help as the past years have made them very
familiar
with the same set of feet. DE-Feat.
4. Team Gray
I know Gray will have a lot of fun as many of the team members work
together at PG & E. Unfortunately with the loss of Peter Tam due
to a
foot problem they will lose some rebounding and experience The
emergence
of Colman at point guard will boast the quickest and most determined
team out there. Since most of the players work for the giant utility
company it may be "lights out" for the opposing teams.
5. Team White
This team can cause some match up problems as Sacto's Darryl Greene may
produce the 1st ever triple double in this league. With Hubert Lim
locking down the post and Jeff Hua slowly launching his threes, manager
Octavio may have a lot to cheer about from the bench...that is, IF he
stays on it.
6. Team Black
Rankings mean nothing at the end of the league so Team Black may come
out on top with Oz's newfound set shot and hustle. Along with Erik "Mr
Fundamentals" Chan calming Oz down and Anthony, Armando and Edgar
filling in the lanes look out for some serious running back and forth.
Remember fellas, its just for fun.
